Changelog
Every report is stamped with the version of the calculation engine that produced it — you will find it at the bottom of your report. This page lists what changed in each one.
When a rule changes the version goes up, and a saved report from an earlier version is marked out of date so you can recalculate it against the current rules.
1.32
- FixedA bond holding small enough to fall outside the Accrued Income Scheme had accrued interest still stripped from its CGT cost on disposal, overstating the gain. It stays in cost and proceeds now. SAIM4210
- FixedAn assigned put appeared as a loss in the strategy totals; shares delivered on assignment now carry their cost until whatever closes them. Subsequent trades in the same name no longer consume the assignment.
- FixedTwo analytics corrections: an expired option now closes on the day it expired rather than staying open indefinitely; assignment premium attaches to the option that exercised, not the earliest in the series.
- FixedA report recalculates when the engine behind it changes, not only when its version number moves — no re-upload, no credit.
- AddedInvestor reports gain an Analytics tab with a portfolio value chart: purchases move value into holdings rather than dropping the account balance. IBKR statements seed the opening balance from Starting Cash.
- AddedThe Analytics tab recognises the wheel: each underlying gets a row showing every contract written on it — strike, outcome and direction — across however many tax years it ran.
- AddedThat chart overlays five indices in pounds — FTSE 100, S&P 500, NASDAQ 100, Nikkei 225 and MSCI World — invested on the day each deposit arrived.
- AddedAnalytics measures each year: drawdown, profit factor, expectancy, concentration and holding periods; written options get assignment rate and return on margin. The gains chart marks zero and names every month.
1.31
- FixedSA106 column C takes the lower of the tax withheld and the credit your treaty allows. We printed the withholding, which over-claimed the relief; the uncreditable excess is now named under the grid. TIOPA 2010 s42
- FixedA spin-off allocation never ran on a London listing: the broker keeps the listing’s own case, the Advanced tab uppercases what you type, and the child arrived with no cost. s130 TCGA 1992
- FixedA dividend’s taxing country was read from the row that paid it, so one security held at two brokers left a distribution unnamed on the SA106 grid. It is learned across the whole upload now.
- FixedForeign withholding was pooled on the security and the pay date alone, so two brokers paying on one day had their tax added together and shared back out. The broker is part of the key now.
- FixedA foreign company held at Charles Schwab as a US-listed depositary receipt was booked to the USA off the dollar it paid in. Schwab distinguishes a foreign government’s tax from US non-resident tax, and that is honoured now.
- FixedThe foreign tax credit table worked its rate back from the tax paid, printing a fraction under the treaty rate. It states the rate it applied. TIOPA 2010 s42
- FixedInterest rows were rounded one by one while their totals were rounded once, so a page could show two figures a penny apart for one quantity. Every total is the engine’s now, and SA106 box 4 foots to its rows.
- FixedA spin-off allocation with nothing in the upload to attach it to was skipped in silence, while the shares it should have costed were reported sold with no purchase records. The report names it now, and says what each allocation moved. s130 TCGA 1992
- AddedThe whole report downloads as one CSV — every disposal, income row and pool in sterling, with the exchange rate applied to each figure and the settings behind them.
1.30
- FixedChoosing a tax band instead of entering your income charged a flat rate on everything, over-stating the bill for anyone living off a portfolio. The band’s own income ceiling is spent instead, and any unused personal allowance or starting rate for savings reaches you. ITA 2007 s12
- FixedWriting an option is itself the disposal, charged in the year of the grant. IBKR closes a whole position with one row, and every grant it discharged was charged in the first grant’s year — moving premium across 5 April. s144 TCGA 1992
- FixedA spin-off or a return of capital reached the Section 104 pool ahead of every disposal on that holding, whatever the dates. Both apply on their own date now. s122 TCGA 1992
- FixedIBKR reports a cancelled corporate action as a second, offsetting row, which can land in another statement of the same upload. Only rows within one file were netted, so a retracted split still reached your pool.
- FixedA loss on a non-reporting offshore fund was deleted rather than relieved, taking the disposal off the report and out of the brought-forward pool. It is an ordinary allowable capital loss. IFM13550
- FixedA gain on a non-reporting fund reduces the consideration on the disposal, it does not un-make it. The disposal was dropped outright, so it was missing from your disposal count and total proceeds. reg 45 SI 2009/3001
- FixedThe 2025/26 SA106 moved gains on offshore fund holdings from box 41 to box 56. The guide named box 41 on every year.
- FixedHow your disposals were matched — same day, thirty day, Section 104 — was summarised across the whole upload rather than the year on the report. The share and option cards count only the year you are filing.
- AddedVanEck excess reportable income is bundled, covering the complete published history of its UK reporting share classes.
1.29
- FixedAn option written in one tax year and assigned in a later one charged the premium twice. The year of the grant books no disposal now, and the report names the return to amend. s144 TCGA 1992
- FixedIBKR tender offers, ratio mergers and spin-offs were only warned about, so the cost stayed behind in shares you no longer held. They carry it across now. s135 TCGA 1992
- FixedA Treasury Bill is a deeply discounted security, so its profit is savings income, not a capital gain. Pooled as ordinary shares, they left the discount out of your income entirely. SAIM3010
- FixedA gilt held at IBKR was taxed on disposal instead of being exempt, because the statement names its instruments after the trades that need them. The registry also gained 4 5/8% Treasury Gilt 2032. s115 TCGA 1992
- FixedTotal Reportable Income counted excess reportable income twice and omitted offshore income gains altogether. Both are corrected, and a non-reporting fund gain has its own card. IFM12146
- FixedBlock changed its ticker in January 2025 and the engine did not know it, so an upload spanning the change carried two Section 104 pools for one holding. CG51560
- FixedIBKR states a currency-conversion commission in the account’s base currency. On a non-sterling account it was read as pounds, understating the gain when that currency was sold.
1.28
- FixedA reorganisation multiplies the holding by its ratio and leaves the cost alone. Adding the broker's reported share delta instead stranded cost in a pool of shares you no longer owned. CG51700
- FixedOne reorganisation reported by several statements applies once, and in the same way whichever file arrives first.
- FixedDividend territory follows the withholding jurisdiction the broker states. An ADR was routed by its ISIN, which gives the receipt's country rather than the company's.
